Shrimp with Angel Hair Pasta

Shrimp with angel hair pasta is a remarkable Italian recipe, which goes best with a nice bottle of wine, like an Amarone, made in Valpolicella, a viticulture zone of the province of Verona, Italy. When it comes to the actual shrimp consumption, it usually involves eating just few parts of its body, after the removal of the head, the sand vein and also the tale. Underneath them, an incredible soft and tasty meat has been since centuries one of the popular ingredients in the Asian cuisine, the Spanish one, the Portuguese or the Turkish ones.

The necessary ingredients in order to prepare this delicious Italian recipe are:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup of half and half
  • 3/4 cup of shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/3 cup of fresh Italian parsley, chopped finely
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 2 eggs, beaten lightly
  • 1 cup of plain yogurt
  • 3/4 cup of feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup of chopped fresh basil, or 1 tsp ground basil
  • 16 ounces of angel hair pasta, cooked
  • 16 ounces of your favorite salsa
  • 1 lb. medium shrimp, boiled and peeled
  • 1/2 cup of Parmesan, grated

  • In a medium bowl, mix the eggs, the two kinds of cheese, in equal proportion, the yogurt, with the parsley, basil oregano.
  • Use the butter to grease a baking pan.
  • On the bottom of the pan spread half of the pasta quantity.
  • Add a layer of shrimp.
  • Spread half of the salsa quantity over the layer of shrimp.
  • Add another layer, using the mixture of eggs, cheese, yogurt, of equal proportions.
  • Top the delicatessen with the remaining shrimp and salsa.
  • Crown the delicious dish by sprinkling the parmesan cheese over it.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350F degrees, for half an hour.
  • Chill for 10 minutes before serving.
